St. George

Continuing South our next stop was St. George. Temp 113. Now, I love the heat but those with me, especially Nicole, was having a hard time of it. We decided to find an indoor activity to provided some coolness for Nicole. We came across this great find: Johnson Farm.

The Johnson Farm houses exceptionally well-preserved dinosaur tracks, fossil fish, fossil plants, rare dinosaur remains, invertebrates traces and important sedimentary structures.

This site is described by many paleontologists as "one of the ten best dinosaur track sites in the world" and is one of the most important discoveries in Early Jurassic paleontological history. It gives a 'snapshot' of an ancient ecosystem, and a wonderful opportunity to reconstruct, study and understand it.

Who would have thought right here is St. George, UT there would be this amazing find.

We topped the day off by having dinner at TX Roadhouse with our friend Lisa. We also will be staying at her home for 2 nights.
