My Loving Husband

Those in the know know how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my husband. He is "MY BEST FRIEND"! I never thought I could have such a wonderful relationship with anyone. He bouys me up everyday.
Last week we had a Friday the 13th. John and I celebrate each one that comes along. You see we were engaged on April 13th, Friday, Full Moon. It had been _LUCKY_ for us so we take advantage of each one as it comes. Our children even call us when they see the full moon to make sure we know it is full, (even though we already know it is). It is nice that they know it is special to us and they remember.
John is my other half. He makes me feel like a millions bucks all the time. He puts my needs before his own. When he is away we both can't wait to get back together. He seeks me out to kiss me and love me as soon as he is back.
Even though he doesn't think he has been a good father he has. He has taught our children many things they wouldn't have learned had it not been for them. He taught them how to make an omelet by the time they were three. He taught them how to work and to love it. He shared his love for the outdoors whether it is skiing or camping, fishing or hiking, their love of the outdoors comes from him.
The kids love for me also comes from him. As they grew he made sure they never dis-respected me. He showed respect and in return they learned.
He is AMAZING

Park City

We all love Park City, UT. John's brother Thane has a condo. John's family met there in the afternoon through evening. It is so nice to be with everyone. We see Thane, his wife Jenn and their boys about once a year. The time we spend together is priceless.

The food was amazing. Chili rellenos, corn and black bean salad, shish-k-bobs and other yummy things. There are some amazing chefs in the family so the food is always amazing.

Richard and his girls, Audrey and Danielle, brought their pictures from their trip to Egypt this past summer as well as Eric brought his pictures from his trip to the Amazon over Christmas. He also brought one of the pictures he drew. It is awsome. You should check out his website. www.lintonart.com

It is always so fun to see how the families are growing, what everyones children are up to, how life is treating everyone. I love to have the nieces and nephews around. I love to talk to them. Feel their spirits. It gives me a boost. I hope we can get together for many years to come but I know as the families are growing and the kids are getting married and having children of their own these get togethers will be fewer. I am grateful for this time.

Time Out For Women

While I was in Utah last month Nicole, our friend Suzie and myself attended Time Out For Women in Ogden. It was AWESOME as usual. Each time I attend my life is forever changed. So many topics are covered, so much joy is shared, so much love is felt. I personally take pages and pages of notes so I can go back and review them (and share them with John). Each presenter comes with their own take on life, their own stories to tell, their own spirit to share. For myself the little ah-ha's I take away re-shape me to be a better person. My motto for this year is going to be,

"Don't worry about what others think of you,

worry about what others think of themselves
while they are with you."

One of the best parts is sharing that time with Nicole. I am grateful she is now a woman and care share those moments with me now. She has come into her own this past year. She has always had an amazng spirit about her. Not wanting to watch inappropriate movies, her music is uplifting, being upset when anyone argued or was unkind to someone else. She has been an example to me.

I recommend others to go to TOFW when it comes anywhere near where you live. you too will be changed. At the bottom of my blog are 2 clips of TOFW funnies. Enjoy them.
