Thought provoking

2 NEPHI 31:20 — Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.
What a thought-provoking verse of scripture!. What an incredible promise!

Ladd-n-Sarah

I should have posted this long ago but I have yet to get the full hang of this.
We are so grateful to have some family living semi close by. Johns brother Ladd and wonderful wife Sarah along with their children moved to Olathe, KS. It is about 2.5 hours from us but we have been able to spend time with them several times since they have moved there this past September. It is nice to know if there was an emergancy we could have family within a few hours.

2009

Here it is 2009. I can't believe another year has gone by. They seem to be going by even more quickly. 2008 was pretty eventful for us.
Christian, who has been living in Utah, opened his 2nd Texas Roadhouse. This one is in Bountiful Utah. He LOVES it!. He is the Service Manager responsible for the front end of the restaurant. (Servers, Bar, Hostesses, Bussers) Christian really knows how to run a show. He makes it fun for his crew and they love him. He continues to live in Lehi. His commute will be shorter this year as he will be opening another Texas Roadhouse in American Fork, UT in late spring. Yum-O. We sure love to eat there. The food and the atmosphere ROCK!. We are very proud of him and how he has handled his life.
Nicole finished up her program in June at Wichita State University this year. She enjoyed working with WSU and K-State this year to finish up. One of her projects this year was to raise awareness for domestic violence. In so doing she raised money to purchase 1000 teddy bears that she made at Build-A-Bear Workshop which she donated to The Wichita Police Dept and Wichita Fire and Rescue to be given to children who are taken from their homes because of domestic violence. She received a special award at graduation for her project. In September she moved to Lehi UT to go to hair design school. After attending for a while she realized it wasn't for her so she is attending classes at Lakeview for now.
John and I also made a small move in September. We now have a home in Lehi, UT at Traverse Mountain. John and I have contemplated move back to UT from KS for 3 years. Leaving an amazing practice in KS would have been hard as no one wants to purchase it. We have decided to live in both places. Each month we go to UT for about 10 days. John see patients there and in KS.
Our family took several trips: Florida, Texas, Ohio, California, Montana, Yellowstone-Jackson Hole, Las Vegas, Arizona, besides the 10 times we were in UT.
